Cafeteria planning for new police headquarters in Ludwigshafen
Heidelberg - 22.10.2018
io-consultants has been commissioned with the planning of the cafeteria for the new police headquarters in Ludwigshafen. The project is currently undergoing preliminary planning (service phase 2 of the Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers in Germany, HOAI).
“We opted for a full-service kitchen design to offer the independent operator a high degree of flexibility in the daily preparation of fresh meals”, explains Thorsten Huonker, Project Manager at io-consultants.
The cafeteria will be equipped with 90 seats and can serve freshly prepared, nutritious lunches to approximately 180 staff and guests per day. The service concept includes a flexible free-flow area for the main regular dishes and a separate counter allowing diners to watch the chef prepare fresh seasonal dishes right in front of their eyes.
In addition, guests can take advantage of a new self-service concept during off-peak hours. A coffee lounge in the guest area rounds off the daily offer and creates a pleasant atmosphere, in which staff and visitors can relax with a hot or cold drink and fuel up on a selection of snacks all through the day.
io-consultants is planning and supporting the construction project in close cooperation with LBB Landau and other specialist planners.
