21st VLB logistics convention for the beverage industry
Sinsheim - 26.–28.2.2018
VLB (Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin e.V.), a research and teaching institute for the brewery industry in Germany, will be hosting its 21st VLB logistics convention on 26 - 28 February 2018, in Sinsheim.
As in past years, the last two days of the convention will include a series of interesting talks about trends in beverage logistics, innovative logistics technologies, intralogistics, and sustainable logistics concepts. One of the speakers will be Harald Rohatsch, Director Logistics at Deutsche SiSi-Werke Betriebs GmbH, which produces the popular Capri-Sun soft drinks. Rohatsch will talk (in German) about high frequency warehousing for distribution and production logistics – a project supervised by io-consultants for Capri-Sun logistics.
Also on the agenda will be a guided tour of the SiSi-Werke plant in Heidelberg on 27 February 2018. On site, Anselm Schierle, Project Manager at io-consultants, and Harald Rohatsch will present the 40-metre tall high-bay warehouse and its automatic picking facilities. io-consultants was the lead consultant for the expansion of Deutsche SiSi-Werke’s production and logistics capacities, and also supported the company with the implementation, operational start-up, and project organisation of the new facilities.
Use this unique opportunity to gain interesting insights into everyday logistics of the beverage industry!
